Partnership Approach
As a group of North Americans trying to help in Nicaragua it is imperative to develop strong, trusting partnerships with local Nicaraguan institutions. These institutions carryout the day to day work in the field. The long-term nature of these partnerships is important because it allows us to study and understand the underlying causes of poverty in the areas that we are serving. It allows us to adapt and deploy appropriate strategies as we all learn and grow in our understanding together.

The Partners
Business Affiliate (Farmer to Farmer)
We are a network of Christian business people spread across North America, who envision flourishing communities in rural Nicaragua. We are lead by an executive board of volunteers from Iowa, North Carolina, and Ontario. We operate as a Business Affiliate of Partners Worldwide.
Local Community Institutions (LCI)
Locally owned and led, independent organizations that are working to end poverty through business by catalyzing entrepreneurs and job creators in their community. The LCIs for this partnership are Acción Médica Cristiana (AMC) and Asociación Cristiana de Jóvenes (ACJ).
Partners Worldwide (PW)
Partners Worldwide mobilizes long-term, hands-on, global relationships to form a powerful Christian network that uses business as the way to create flourishing economic environments in all parts of the world. Their staff is at the heart of the network of partners. We utilize their model of partnership.
